The China Scholarship Council (CSC) has officially launched the 2025 China Link Short-Term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program, aimed at fostering international academic exchange and research collaboration.
What Is the China Link Program?
The China Link Scholarship Program is a fully funded initiative designed to strengthen global academic ties by supporting short-term scientific exchange for international students and faculty members. Administered by the Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) and sponsored by the Chinese Government, the program welcomes applications for 1 to 12-month research stays in China. All exchanges must begin no later than August 31, 2026.
Who Can Apply?
The program offers two categories:

- General Scholars: Open to currently enrolled undergraduate and master’s students (under 45 years old).
- Senior Scholars: Open to doctoral students and faculty members (under 50 years old).
To be eligible, applicants must:

- Be non-Chinese citizens in good health and strong academic standing.
- Be enrolled in or employed by an overseas partner institution of the China Scholarship Council.
- Meet the academic and research standards set by CDUT.
What Does the CDUT Exchange Scholarship Cover?
This fully funded opportunity includes:
- Tuition Fee Waiver
- On-campus Accommodation
- Comprehensive Medical Insurance
- Monthly Living Allowance: RMB 3,000 for General Scholars, and RMB 3,500 for Senior Scholars.

Application Timeline
The application timeline for the 2025 China Link Short-Term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program at Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT) is as follows: interested applicants are encouraged to apply via the CDUT platform as soon as possible.
Once pre-admission is granted, they must complete their application on the CSC portal at least 10 working days before CDUT’s official submission to the China Scholarship Council. The program duration ranges from 1 to 12 months, and all selected scholars must begin their research in China no later than August 31, 2026.
