Hosted by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in collaboration with the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations (ANSO) and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), this prestigious program offers a deep dive into frontier research while fostering cross-cultural academic exchange.
Program Overview
UCAS International Summer School (UCASISS) is a research-driven initiative aimed at cultivating global talent by offering a hands-on academic experience rooted in open science, innovation, and collaboration. The 2025 edition brings together students from around the world to explore cutting-edge Earth Science research and engage with leading scientists in China’s premier institutions under the theme of sustainability and global cooperation.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

- Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program
- Have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study by July 2025
- Hold a background in Earth/Environmental Science, Ecology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or related fields
- Demonstrate excellent academic performance and passion for research
- Be proficient in English.
Priority Consideration Given To:

- Students from APRU, ANSO, or UCAS partner universities
- Applicants with relevant research experience and UCAS postgraduate aspirations.

Application Deadline
The last date to apply for the UCAS-ANSO-APRU International Summer School 2025 is Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Applications will be reviewed in two batches: the First Batch on April 15, 2025, and the Second Batch on May 5, 2025.
