This (1) year-long program is an initiative of the Bridging Divides network and is designed to foster professional growth through structured mentorship, interdisciplinary research, and academic exposure on a global platform.

About the Fellowship

The Bridging Divides Future Leaders Fellowship is more than a research opportunity—it’s a career-defining experience. Fellows will be matched with senior scholars affiliated with one of TMU’s four thematic Bridging Divides research groups:

Through this fellowship, selected scholars will engage in cutting-edge, collaborative research addressing the intersection of migration and advanced digital technologies (ADTs). The program encourages both academic excellence and real-world impact, culminating in a peer-reviewed journal article and a presentation at a major international conference.

Fellowship Structure

The fellowship kicks off with an immersive five-day, in-person residency at TMU in Toronto, where participants will connect with their mentors, refine their project proposals, and engage with a vibrant network of scholars.
