Calling all dedicated middle and high school science teachers! Are you looking for ways to enhance your forensic science curriculum and provide engaging, hands-on experiences for your students? The Forensic Sciences Foundation (FSF) has an exciting scholarship opportunity just for you in 2025.
Purpose of FSF Scholarship: Advancing Forensic Science Education
This scholarship is specifically designed to support and encourage forensic science education at the middle and high school levels. The FSF aims to provide crucial funding – up to $3,000 – to help teachers like you purchase necessary supplies, equipment, or reference materials. The core goal is to strengthen the teaching of basic scientific principles through the lens of forensic science.
When reviewing applications, the FSF will prioritize programs demonstrating clear financial need and those serving underserved student populations. The key factor will be how effectively the proposed use of funds aligns with the Foundation’s goals of promoting forensic science education.
What Will the Winner Receive?
Beyond the financial grant, the Warren-Young Scholarship winner will receive:
- Funding: Up to $3,000 to support classroom forensic science education.
- Professional Development: A complimentary registration to attend one American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) Annual Scientific Conference and the Student Academy.
- Travel Support: Two (02) nights of complimentary hotel accommodations during the conference.
This is a fantastic chance to not only gain resources for your classroom but also to connect with professionals and advancements in the field!
