The Zawacka NAWA Programme is a bilateral academic exchange initiative between Poland and partner countries like Switzerland. It offers short-term scholarships, semester exchanges, one-year programs, and research opportunities across all fields of study and academic levels.
The goal? To enhance international academic collaboration, promote scientific research, and offer Swiss students and researchers an immersive academic experience in Poland’s top institutions.
What’s Offered?
For the 2025/2026 academic year, 36 scholarship months are available to students and researchers from Switzerland for part-time studies or research internships in Poland.
Types of Stays Eligible:
- Part-time study at a Polish university
- Research internships and scientific stays
- Study visits to gather research material
- Teaching assignments and other academic activities
Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is open to a wide range of applicants from Swiss institutions, including:
- Undergraduate and graduate students
- Doctoral students
- Academic teachers and scientists who are employed in Swiss institutions but not in Polish ones.
Please Note:
- Dual citizens (Polish/Swiss) are not eligible.
- PhD students already admitted to Polish doctoral schools with Polish government funding are not eligible — but a research stay is allowed.
- Students already pursuing studies in Poland (without employment at the host university) can also apply.
Scholarship Value (Monthly Stipend):
- 1,800 PLN – For students (study or research stays)
- 2,500 PLN – For doctoral students
- 3,500 PLN – For doctoral degree holders.
