Launched in 2024 by the Tanoto Foundation, a philanthropic organization with over four decades of dedication to education and human development, this fellowship is your chance to engage directly with communities, experts, and initiatives shaping the educational landscape across Indonesia.
What Is the Fellowship Program?
The Tanoto Foundation Fellowship Program is a one-year, fully immersive leadership initiative aimed at nurturing young professionals committed to improving education in Indonesia. Fellows, known as Tanoto Fellows, will be placed in regional offices located in Riau, North Sumatra, Central Java, and East Kalimantan to work hands-on in education development projects.

Who Can Apply?
If you meet the following criteria, you’re eligible to apply:
- Indonesian citizen
- Bachelor’s (S1) or Master’s (S2) degree holder from any field
- Maximum age: 26 years

- Committed to participate full-time for one year.

Application and Selection Timeline
The application process for the Tanoto Foundation Fellowship Program 2025 begins with online registration open from April 7 to May 25, 2025. The results of the administrative selection will be announced on May 29 and 30, 2025.
Candidates who progress to the next stage will participate in Stage 1 Selection between June 4 and 12, 2025, with the results announced on June 16 and 17, 2025. Those shortlisted will move on to the Stage 2 Selection round from June 19 to 23, 2025, and the final results will be released from July 1 to 4, 2025. The Tanoto Foundation Fellowship Program for Cohort 2025 will officially begin on August 18, 2025.
