The TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship is designed for young scientists from developing countries (except Pakistan) who are currently registered for a PhD at their home institution. It offers the possibility to spend 6 to 12 months at ICCBS, working alongside some of the world’s brightest researchers in fields like:

What You Get?
Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend from ICCBS to cover essential living expenses such as food, accommodation, local transport, and minor medical needs during their stay in Pakistan. Please note, the stipend is meant for use inside Pakistan and is non-convertible to foreign currency.
Additionally, fellows benefit from direct mentorship by ICCBS faculty and full access to state-of-the-art research labs.
Who Can Apply: Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this competitive fellowship, applicants must:

- Be aged 35 or younger by 31 December 2025.
- Hold an MSc degree in natural sciences.
- Be a citizen of a developing country outside Pakistan.
- Be currently enrolled in a PhD program in their home country (SANDWICH model).
- Obtain a Preliminary Acceptance Letter from ICCBS.
- Provide a Registration and No Objection Certificate from their home university.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, unless their education was conducted entirely in English.
- Present a certificate of good health from a qualified doctor.
- Show commitment to returning to their home country upon completing the fellowship.
