Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), one of China’s elite institutions located in Chengdu, has officially opened applications for the 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship – Silk Road Program. This Chinese SWJTU, fully-funded opportunity invites outstanding students from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries to pursue master’s or doctoral degrees in key technical and engineering fields — all while living in one of China’s most culturally rich and dynamic cities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health
- Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old
- Ph.D. applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old
- For Chinese-taught programs, an HSK Level 4 certificate is required
- Must meet SWJTU’s academic and language requirements.

Application Timeline
The application period for the SWJTU Silk Road Scholarship 2025 is now open and will continue until May 20, 2025. Applicants must ensure that both their CSC and SWJTU university portal submissions are completed by this deadline. The final admission results for selected candidates are expected to be announced in July or August 2025.
