About the Scholarship
INOV is offering one fully funded Research Initiation Scholarship to support initial R&D activities, designed to consolidate a candidate’s scientific training through hands-on participation in advanced research. The focus is crystal clear: Mobile Computing in the field of Computer Engineering, with a special emphasis on developing revolutionary tools for visually impaired users.
The scholarship is backed entirely by INOV and will be hosted at their Leiria, Portugal campus, under the scientific supervision of Eng. Paulo Chaves.
Project Focus: Liber24 – Developing firmware and dedicated applications for a next-generation Braille computer device with a 10″ portable screen and extended high-contrast Braille keyboard.
What You’ll Work On?
As the selected scholarship holder, you will:
- Study and document Android 10 functionalities specific to the Liber24 platform.
- Participate in exclusive training and practical testing sessions.
- Develop and test cutting-edge Android applications.
- Produce detailed technical reports and project documentation.
