About the Scholarship
Rappler, the Philippines’ leading digital media organization, continues its mission of supporting impactful youth through its second year of partnership with One Young World. This exciting scholarship will send five inspiring Filipino leaders to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany, taking place from 3–6 November 2025.
The scholarship targets individuals championing Anti-Hate or Responsible Tech initiatives. Whether you are a journalist fostering peace, a tech advocate safeguarding user rights, or a community volunteer pushing for safer digital spaces—this is your opportunity to take your mission global.
Rappler Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- Fully-funded access to the One Young World Summit 2025
- Round-trip economy airfare to Munich
- Hotel accommodation from 2–7 November 2025
- All meals during conference days (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Ground transportation between lodging and the summit venue
- A platform to host a Community Chat on the Rappler Communities App to discuss issues meaningful to their cause.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, you must:
- Be 18 to 30 years old (exceptions possible for over-30s with exceptional profiles)
- Be a citizen of the Philippines
- Show strong leadership potential and a proven track record of impact
- Be active in either anti-hate advocacy or responsible tech initiatives
- Have volunteering experience
- Be willing to host a live community chat via the Rappler Communities app before the Summit.
