What is the NFP Scholarship?
Offered by the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), this scholarship is designed to equip new and aspiring directors of small to medium-sized NFPs with the critical skills needed to lead with confidence, clarity, and compliance. Whether you’re leading a grassroots initiative or serving on the board of a growing charity, this opportunity can transform your leadership journey.

Course Overview
Delivered over one and a half days, this course provides:
- A deep dive into governance principles
- Insights into compliance and performance responsibilities
- Practical guidance tailored to NFP board environments
Courses are held between November 2025 and June 2026 in metro, regional, and remote areas across QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS, SA, and WA.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to both members and non-members of AICD. You are eligible if you:
- Are 18 years or older
- Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Are a current or aspiring director or leader of an NFP with annual income below $3 million
- Are not disqualified from being a director
- Have not graduated from advanced AICD programs (e.g., Company Directors Course).
