Northeast Normal University (NENU) has officially announced its call for applications for the 2025 Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Type-B Program)—a prestigious, fully funded academic opportunity aimed at fostering global talent from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries. NENU Scholarship Sponsorship Coverage
The NENU Silk Road Scholarship 2025 offers a comprehensive financial support package that includes a full tuition waiver and free on-campus accommodation for the duration of the program. Additionally, scholarship recipients will receive a monthly stipend—RMB 3,000 for master’s students and RMB 3,500 for PhD students—to help cover their living expenses.
The scholarship also provides comprehensive medical insurance throughout the study period in China, ensuring students have access to necessary healthcare services.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens from countries participating in the BRI (Check list: yidaiyilu.gov.cn).
- Be in good physical and mental health with an excellent academic record.
- Not be holding any other Chinese government scholarship simultaneously.
- Meet the age and academic qualifications:
- Master’s: Bachelor’s degree, under 35 years old.
- PhD: Master’s degree, under 40 years old.
- Fulfill language requirements:
- TOEFL ≥ 80 or IELTS ≥ 6.0
- OR native English speaker/degree earned in English-medium university.
