Students eyeing international academic adventures at Memorial University’s Harlow Campus or exchange programs abroad have reason to celebrate — applications are now open for a range of scholarships, bursaries, and travel awards for the 2025–2026 academic year. These funding opportunities aim to support students planning to study either at the Harlow Campus in the UK or at recognized universities outside of Canada.
Study Abroad Funding: What’s on Offer
Students registered full-time in Memorial University-approved programs at the Harlow Campus — particularly those residing on campus for six consecutive weeks or more — can apply for several generous awards. Preference is given to permanent residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Applicants must have achieved clear academic standing in the previous scholarship year to be eligible.
The following awards are available through the Harlow Awards application portal:
- Harlow Development Corporation Scholarship
- Harlow Travel Awards
- Dr. Edmund de Rothschild Harlow Travel Bursary
- Linfield Award
Important Note: Students applying for the de Rothschild Travel Bursary or Linfield Award must ensure that a faculty nomination letter confirming financial need is submitted to Rhonda Byrne at the Scholarships, Awards and Financial Aid office.
Harlow Awards Application Deadlines:
- Fall 2025 (September–December): June 20, 2025
- Winter 2026 (January–April): November 21, 2025
- Spring 2026 (May–August): February 20, 2026.
Faculty-Specific Awards
Students enrolled in the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Education, or Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences are also eligible for tailored scholarship opportunities related to study abroad programs. Make sure to explore options directly with your faculty.

1# Coca-Cola Scholarship for International Studies
For students who:

- Have completed at least two years of a degree at Memorial University
- Have been accepted to a recognized university abroad for one or two semesters
- Have obtained scholarship standing

2# Scotiabank Bursaries for International Study
Available for full-time Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences students participating in overseas field schools or faculty-led study abroad programs, with a requirement of scholarship standing.
