Mission 300 Fellowship 2025: Power Africa’s Future

The Mission 300 Fellowship 2025 is now accepting applications from African nationals passionate about advancing energy access across the continent. Spearheaded by the World Bank Group, African Development Bank, and leading partners, the fellowship places skilled professionals into African governments’ top offices to help achieve the goal of electrifying 300 million people by 2030.

Fellowship Benefits

  • Stipend: USD 26,000 (Year 1) and USD 28,000 (Year 2) — net of tax.
  • Housing Allowance: Additional, based on country of placement.
  • Professional Development: Work alongside senior government leaders, World Bank, AfDB, and global energy organizations.
  • Impact: Help implement national energy policies and reforms across Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

  • African nationality.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, finance, engineering, energy, public policy, environment, climate, sustainability).
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in related sectors.
  • Strong English language skills; French or Portuguese required for placements in francophone/lusophone countries.
  • Passion for sustainable development and Africa’s energy transition.

Application Process

  • Complete the ODI online application form (no CVs or transcripts accepted).
  • Provide details of two references (references contacted only if shortlisted).
  • Selection based on application form responses — showcase motivation, experience, and leadership potential.
