The Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) has announced an exciting opportunity for Papua New Guinean students to pursue higher education in Indonesia through the Indonesian Aid Scholarship (TIAS) Program for the academic year 2025–2026.

Scholarship Overview: What You Need to Know
The TIAS Program is aimed at civil servants, government officials, and individuals officially nominated by government departments in Papua New Guinea. Successful applicants will study at accredited Indonesian universities and immerse themselves in a rich cultural and academic experience.

Scholarship Benefits Include

General Eligibility Criteria (All Levels)
- Must be a citizen of Papua New Guinea
- Must not be a member of the military or undergoing military service during the study period
- Must submit a certified medical report proving good physical and mental health
- Must submit a police clearance certificate confirming no criminal record
- Must be willing to undergo additional medical check-up if selected
- Must hold a valid PNG passport (minimum 18 months validity from application date).
