The European Parliament has officially launched the “What matters to YOU(th)” competition, and they’re calling on passionate young EU citizens aged 18 to 30 to speak out through creativity. If you’ve ever dreamed of walking the halls of power, joining forces with fellow young changemakers, or getting inspired at a major European youth event, your moment has arrived.
What’s Up for Grabs?
A fully-funded trip to EYE2025 — the European Youth Event — happening on 13–14 June 2025 in Strasbourg, France! If you’re one of the six winners, your travel and accommodation for three (03) nights will be arranged and covered by the European Parliament. You’ll get to rub shoulders with thousands of young Europeans, join powerful debates, and shape policies that impact your generation.
How to Enter This EYE2025 Competition?
- Head over to Instagram, and create a Reel using the official competition audio. You can highlight anything that matters to you — from climate activism and equality to mental health or a slice of your everyday youth life.
- Follow @ep_eye and @europeanparliament, and tag your Reel with #EYEcompetition.
- Got a private profile? No problem. Just DM your Reel to @ep_eye to ensure your entry is seen.
Competition Rules You Need to Know
- Your Reel must be posted before 30 April 2025 (midnight CET).
- You must be a resident of one of the 27 EU countries, aged between 18 and 30.
- Already registered for EYE2025? Then, sadly, you’re not eligible for this contest.
- The official audio must be used (unaltered) in your Reel.
Your content must stay respectful and on-topic — no discriminatory language, political party promotion, or commercial ads allowed. Make sure you have full rights to your video, and that anyone appearing in it has given their consent.
How Are Winners Selected?
A jury will judge submissions based on creativity, caption impact, audience engagement, and alignment with EYE values. The six winners will be announced before 12 May 2025 via Instagram Direct Message, so don’t forget to check your inbox and message requests!
